Danielle Swinnerton is a passionate and experienced Speech Pathologist with a Master of Speech Pathology degree from the University of Melbourne. She has experience working in early intervention, primary and secondary schools and private practice. Danielle’s therapeutic approach emphasizes collaboration with families, educators and the wider therapy team to ensure outcomes are holistic, functional and carry over into daily life. She is a strong advocate of strengths-based and neuro-affirming practices.
Danielle clinical areas of interest include speech sound disorders, orofacial myology, early communication, AAC, social pragmatics and selective mutism. She is trained in a wide range of evidence-based programs, including Hanen More Than Words and It Takes Two to Talk programs, the Key Worker model, the Lidcombe Program for stuttering, Palin PCI, PEERS and the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) approach to feeding. In addition to her work with clients, Danielle offers mentoring and supervision to fellow speech pathologists, empowering them to build confidence in their professional skills while working with complex and diverse cases.
